If coming from the A64 then through Pickering, travel along the A170 towards Thirsk. You will travel through some small villages before coming to an Esso / Londis garage on the left. Keep going straight on onto a single carriageway. You will then see a sign ‘Cropton, Wrelton, Rosedale’ directing you to a right turn off. Take that turn off.
The road bears to the left and eventually winds to the right through a tiny little village. At the top of this hill there is a blind sharp left hand bend, continue to follow that country road. You will then approach a pub on the left hand side called the New Inn. Pass this pub and follow the road round to the LEFT where you will then go down a steep hill.
At the bottom of the hill there is a little hump bridge with an immediate left turn. Take this left turn. You will see a light as you progress on that country lane and here you have reached Beck House.
If you are coming the other way through Kirkbymoorside, keep following the A170 (don’t take the Appleton Le Moors turn off), keep going and eventually you will see the Cropton sign this time directing you left but then the direction same as above.
